COSTA Coffee is bringing back its gingerbread cream latte and cinnamon spiced cappuccino as part of its autumn menu.

The latte features gingerbread syrup with cream, topped with a mini gingerbread man, while the cappuccino blends cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise for a festive winter-warmer.

Both drinks are available from today for a limited time, with the gingerbread latte priced from £2.89 and the cinnamon spiced cappuccino from £2.49.

Costa is also bringing back its black forest hot chocolate, which features cherry sauce and chocolate curls, and its Irish velvet range, which is non-alcoholic but has hints of Irish cream.

The black forest hot chocolate starts from £2.93, while an Irish velvet latte starts from £2.89, or £2.93 for a hot chocolate version.

Prices will vary depending on which Costa you go to though, so be sure to check what you’re paying before handing over any cash.

Costa has slashed prices across its drinks range thanks to a cut in VAT, which has been cut from 20% to 5% for hospitality businesses.

The coffee chain confirmed customers will see lower prices across its autumn drinks range.

For example, its gingerbread latte costs 41p less than the £3.30 it was priced at last year, and the black forest hot chocolate is 45p cheaper compared to its old price of £3.35.

The autumn drinks will be available in all 2,600 Costa stores nationwide or through the coffee chain’s drive-thrus.

Costa last sold these festive warmers as part of its autumn 2019 range, but the coffee chain says it’s bringing them back as they proved popular with customers.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like the caramelised orange and cream range from last year will be coming back for 2020.

We’ve asked Costa for the relevant calorie and sugar information and we’ll update this article when we know more.

HOAR is also checking how long the autumn selection will be available for.

Eric Tavoukdjian, commercial marketing director at Costa Coffee said: “We know how much our customers love our seasonal drinks and the flavour combinations we offer at this time each year.

“With the festive season almost upon us, we are delighted to be able to offer a taste of familiarity through a collection of handcrafted drinks that we know our customers have been missing.”

The returning drinks comes after Costa announced a new caramel apple tart for autumn.

Some Costa fans were left disappointed after they found out they couldn’t use loyalty points to pay for Eat Out to Help Out orders.
