Heartbreak for Brits as beloved Christmas chocolates vanish from selection boxes

It's a festive season heartbreak that has plagued Brits for years – the disappearance of beloved chocolates from Quality Street, Celebrations, and Heroes selection boxes. While these treats bring joy to many, there are some that will never return to grace our taste buds.

Missing Chocolates: A Festive Tragedy

Over the years, several chocolates have vanished from our favorite holiday selection boxes. Among the lost Roses are Brazilian Darkness, Praline Moment, Chunky Truffle, Bournville, Almond Charm, Coffee Creme, Montelimar, Marzipan, Turkish Delight, Nutty Truffle Log, Orange Crisp, Chocolate Bite, Noisette Whirl, Lime Barrel, Black Cherry Cream, Caramel Velvet, and Almond Caramel Bite.

Quality Street has also bid farewell to some treasured chocolates, including Purple One (the original), Chocolate Strawberry Cream, Chocolate Toffee Cup, Hazelnut Cracknell, Hazelnut Eclair, Honeycomb crunch, Chocolate Nut Toffee Cream, Malt Toffee, Milk Chocolate Round, Peanut Cracknell, Almond Octagon, Gooseberry Cream, Fig Fancy, Apricot Delight, Toffee Square, Chocolate Truffle, Montelimar Nougat, Harrogate Toffee, Fruits of the Forest Creme, Smarties, Coffee Cream, Mint Fondant, Toffee Deluxe, and Crispy Truffle Bite.

The Heroes selection box has also seen its share of disappearances. Missing varieties include Bournville, Dairy Milk Whole Nut, Dream, Fuse, Picnic, Time Out, Toblerone, and Nuts About Caramel.

Nestle Apologizes for Missing Quality Street Flavor

In addition to these disappearances, Nestle recently admitted a shortage of one of Brits' favorite Quality Street flavors. Treat lovers were left disappointed when they discovered that the beloved Coconut Éclair was nowhere to be found in their Christmas tubs.

Expressing their frustration, one person took to social media, saying, "Hey Quality Streets and Nestle, I think your Quality Street quality control needs some recalibration. Three purple ones, seven fudges, zero Coconut Éclair? Explain yourselves."

In response, Nestle quickly apologized, stating, "Aw sorry to hear that your mix didn't contain the Coconut Éclair. Don't worry though, you didn't get any less. Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond our control, we replace one sweet with equally delicious sweets."

However, the fan pressed further, asking, "So what you're saying is that you have a shortage of Coconut Éclair, so you have topped up with the other varieties?"

As the holiday season approaches, chocolate lovers will have to come to terms with the absence of their favorite treats. Despite the disappointment, there are still plenty of delicious options to enjoy.
