Four ways to save money on streaming sites

Binge-watching TV shows on streaming sites can get expensive, especially with recent price hikes from Netflix. However, there are ways to keep costs down. Here are our top tips:

Switch Channels

Stick to one TV streaming service to save money. Most platforms have enough content to keep you satisfied, and switching between multiple services can add up. If you're only interested in one particular series, consider canceling your subscription after you've watched it. Many sites don't have exit fees, making it easy to switch depending on what you want to watch.

Freebies

Take advantage of free streaming services like All 4, ITVX, UKTV Play, and My5. While you'll have to sit through ads, the savings are often worth it. If you already pay for a TV license, BBC iPlayer is also free. For those who don't mind a few commercial breaks, Netflix offers a standard plan with ads for just £4.99 a month, considerably cheaper than the premium plan.

Trial Blazer

Use free trials to cut costs. For example, sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime Video if you're only interested in watching a specific show. You can also get free seven-day trials of Now Entertainment and Now Cinema. Just make sure to set a reminder to cancel before the promo period ends to avoid an unwanted subscription.

Buddy Up

If you have a Netflix standard or premium account plan, consider adding users outside your household for an extra £4.99 a month. You could save money by sharing the cost with a friend.

Remember, prices and offers are subject to availability.
