Another closure, but a big upgrade in the works
The popular outdoor retailer, Mountain Warehouse, has recently closed one of its stores in the Swindon designer outlet. However, this closure comes with exciting news – the store is set to be replaced with a bigger and better Mountain Warehouse store.
New store, new collection
The new Mountain Warehouse store, located across from the old one, will be twice the size and will feature a brand-new collection called 'Animal'. Customers can look forward to stocking up on their favorites and exploring the expanded selection.
Tough times for retailers
Mountain Warehouse's decision to close some of its branches aligns with a larger trend in the retail industry. Over the past five years, 6,000 retail outlets have permanently closed their doors, citing factors such as high business rates and the impact of Covid lockdowns.
A bright spot for outdoor enthusiasts
Despite these challenges, outdoor enthusiasts in Swindon can take solace in the fact that Mountain Warehouse will still be available in the area. The new and upgraded store will continue to offer a wide range of equipment for hiking, camping, skiing, cycling, running, and fitness.
