A WOMAN has told how she bought her first home without ever even visiting it.
Alison Little spotted the house in Wallasey, Liverpool, online and snapped it up straight away.

She put in an offer after having a “lightbulb moment” when her dad bought a van that he was going to renovate.
Alison, originally from Northern Ireland, told the Liverpool Echo: “I looked for affordable property and found it in Egremont. It took about four weeks before I made an offer. I didn’t have enough money for anything other than a fixer upper.
“I’d seen it online and I thought that’s for me. I didn’t actually view the property before buying it. But it looked pretty well kept. There was a family living in it before.
“It had original Victorian features. There’s also features of the house that honestly a few years ago wouldn’t have interested me at all. It has a good size garden too.”
She is now transforming the home herself – and documenting the project on her Instagram page ‘awirralaway’.
So far she has completed the bathroom – but has already started on many of the other rooms.
She explained: “I found a lot of that room by room advice comes from people who have never really renovated or who have not lived in their home while renovating.
“I would hope by the end of the year that its in a liveable state. I’m hoping that in the next month two month it’s in partly-liveable state at least. That’s what I’m aiming for.
“I want a home that really reflects me and my personality. I’ve rented in the past but I’ve never had my own personality in them. But I also want to have somewhere I can host family.”
