Emily, 26, scours charity shops for vintage deals to resell
The ex-library worker from Hertfordshire uploads items she finds to Depop.
In a good month, Emily says she can make around £4k from her sales.
However, this doesn’t include any outgoings she’ll be footing the bill for.
For example, buying the items and posting to customers.
She told The Telegraph: “People buy off us because they do not have to spend hours sifting through boot sales.”
Another savvy shopper made £1,000 in one day just by searching charity shop rails.
TikTok user Splash recorded himself during his shopping spree – and explained what he’d bagged and how he did it.
Revealing it isn’t as easy as picking up the first thing you see, Splash said you need to be smart about it.
After finding some gold cufflinks on sale for £2, he did some research and found they were retailing at £995.
He said: “I did a bit of digging on Google and these are retailing for £995, which is mad.
“The profit on that is insane.”
One dad, Luke Hadley, also spends his free time shopping womenswear in the second-hand stores.
He sells any items he finds on eBay for a decent profit.
