A Massive Collection

A dedicated James Bond fan is selling his extensive collection of 32,000 007 memorabilia items, which could potentially fetch £1 million. The collection includes rare posters, film ticket stubs, brochures, and promotional lobby cards.

Valuable Finds

Among the treasures is a Goldfinger poster created exclusively for the Irish market to address concerns about the original Bond girl image. This particular item is expected to sell for up to £8,000. Additionally, posters from the first Bond film, Dr No (1962), may go for as much as £15,000.

A Two-Part Sale

Due to the vastness of the collection, it will be sold in two parts. The first part will be auctioned on November 16 and 17 at Ewbank's Auction House in Woking, Surrey.

An Expert's Collection

The collector, Steve Oxenrider, is not only a dedicated James Bond fan but also a renowned Bond expert. He described the earlier films as "unique and spectacular" with their exciting storylines, exotic locations, glamorous girls, ingenious gadgets, and memorable super-villains. Goldfinger is his personal favorite.

A Tribute to Dedication

Ewbank's Auction House described Steve's collection as "breathtaking" and a testament to his dedication as the ultimate collector of 007 memorabilia.

From Premieres to Signatures

Steve's collection extends beyond posters. He has also gathered material from the films' lavish premieres. One notable item is the Thunderball Gala Charity Premiere brochure from December 29, 1965, signed by Luciana Paluzzi, who portrayed Spectre assassin Fiona Volpe in the film. This piece is expected to sell for up to £1,000. Other items include a Royal World Charity Premiere brochure for You Only Live Twice (1967) and a brochure for Live and Let Die (1973) signed by Paul and Linda McCartney, which could reach prices of £800 and £600, respectively.

A Missing Piece

Despite having the world's largest Bond collection, Steve still wishes he had contact sheets and call sheets from the earlier Bond films, as they provide valuable insights into the production process.
