Tesco has issued a warning to its customers that they have just a few hours left to use their Clubcard points or risk losing them forever. The supermarket giant revealed that there are more than £11.5 million worth of Clubcard points that are set to expire at midnight tonight. These points were first issued back in August 2021 and have to be used within two years. To save money on their Tesco shop, customers can exchange their Clubcard points for vouchers to spend in-store and online.

Make Every Point Count

If shoppers choose to use their points for their Tesco shop, 150 points will get them £1.50 to spend in shopping vouchers. But the benefits don't stop there. Points can be doubled in value when spending at various reward partners, such as Pizza Express and Zizzi. Vouchers can also be used to reduce the cost of Tesco mobile bills, or for days out and holidays at Alton Towers and Hotels.com. In addition, collecting points when filling up with fuel at Tesco can help cut the cost of car fuel. Drivers earn one point for every two litres of fuel they purchase.

Don't Let Your Points Expire

This is not the first time Tesco has issued a warning about expiring Clubcard points. On May 31, Clubcard members were urged to redeem £15 million worth of vouchers before they expired. To find out how many Clubcard points you have, simply check the app and head to your account's statements. Unlock the Benefits of the Tesco Clubcard Scheme

The Tesco Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop, which can then be converted into vouchers for money off food or other reward partner schemes. For every £1 spent in-store or online, customers receive one point upon scanning their card or app. Drivers using Clubcards now earn one point for every two litres spent on fuel. Each point is equivalent to 1p, so 150 points will get you £1.50. To request a voucher, a minimum of 150 points is needed. These vouchers can be used at their face value in-store or can be doubled in worth to spend at reward partners, including restaurants and days out. Clubcard holders also benefit from Clubcard Prices, which offer reduced prices on over 8,000 items. According to Tesco, the average member can save £351 on their annual shop through these exclusive prices.
