Kent Couple Celebrate £392,000 Prize

A couple from Kent, Judy Eastwood and Scott Wood, were left "gutted" by how they found out about their massive £392,000 win in the People's Postcode Lottery. They are among 1,400 winners who will be sharing an £11.2 million prize pot.

Good Friends and Neighbours Celebrate Together

Judy and Scott are not the only ones celebrating their six-figure win. Their good pals and neighbours, Richard Clements and Sue Lally, also won big. However, Richard and Sue were away visiting family when Judy discovered their winnings and had to video-call them with the news. Judy expressed her disappointment that they couldn't celebrate together.

A Timely Win for House Repairs

Judy and Scott are relieved that their win came at a perfect time, as they have a growing list of house repairs to tackle. They recently moved to Deal and have been dealing with multiple repairs. The win will allow them to take care of these repairs and even plan a much-needed getaway.

Plans for the Future

With their newfound wealth, Judy and Scott are excited to plan a dream trip. Judy, an Elvis fan, wants to visit Memphis, Nashville, and New Orleans, while Scott has always wanted to explore Alaska. They also hope to take Scott's son and his girlfriend to Florida next year.

A Community Celebration

The seaside town of Deal is buzzing with excitement as around 1,400 residents won their share of the £11.2 million prize. Judy predicts that the town will be rocking as everyone celebrates their winnings. The money will benefit the community as people plan to buy drinks, meals, and complete indoor jobs.

Other Big Wins in the Postcode Lottery

This win in Kent is just one of many recent big wins in the People's Postcode Lottery. An OAP secured £333,000 but was only able to take home a third due to an age-old pact. In Birmingham, a great grandmother-of-five won £111,111 as part of a £1 million win among her and eight neighbours. A group of neighbours on a Manchester estate also won £3.2 million between them this summer.
