THE home of the Whopper Burger King has revealed six tips to hack the system and save you almost £20 this summer.

Fast food can be a treat every once in a while, but it’s not always the cheapest option.

Burger King fans can save themselves up to £20 through some handy tricks

And with the cost of everyday essentials rising across the UK, it’s worth bagging savings wherever possible.

Now, Burger King has revealed six tricks you can use to get almost £20 back.

Fast food fans can bag nearly half price burgers, unlock freebies and earn bonus discounts. Here is the full list of tricks:

Make the most of ‘appy hour

BK is offering customers using its app almost 50% off on a range of burgers from Monday to Friday.

Any time between 2pm and 5pm, fans can nab a Whopper, Chicken Royale and Bacon Double Cheeseburger for £3.

Prices vary from branch to branch but you’ll most likely pay £5.99 for any of the three burgers normally.

That’s a saving of almost £3 using the hack.

Get Dorito fries on the cheap

BK launched its Dorito Chilli Heatwave chicken fries in April to customer fanfare.

And fans can dive into a portion of 20 Doritos chicken fries for £4.99 on Saturdays and Sundays, if ordering through the app.

A nine-piece set ordered today costs £5.89.

That means you’re saving at least 90p and getting an extra 11 chicken fries with this trick.

Tuck in on Tuesday

Anyone ordering two Steakhouse Angus meals on a Tuesday can nab the deal for £12.99 – a £4 saving.

Meanwhile, customers can add two kids meals for £6 as well, so a family of four could eat for just under £20.

Bag a birthday treat

YourBurgerKing members can get a free Whopper on their birthday.

With the cost of the burger £5.99 in most restaurants, that’s a decent saving as well.

YourBurgerKing is the fast food chain’s reward scheme. You receive 10 points for every £1 spent, as well as a host of other offers.

To sign up, you just have to visit Burger King’s website.

Free fries

Anyone signed up to the YourBurgerKing scheme will also get 100 points straight away on their first order.

So you can claim your favourite burger and use the points to bag a free portion of fries completely free.

They can cost around £2.50, saving you a few pounds for little effort.

Green light for blue light

From July 10, emergency, NHS and social care workers can pick up a 20% discount at one of Burger King’s hundreds of restaurants.

You just have to show your Blue Light Card to redeem the offer.

Anyone with a Privilege Card or part of the Defence Discounts Service can bag themselves a 20% discount too.

Bear in mind, the offer isn’t available at Burger King motorway service locations, airports, train stations or holiday parks and only between Sunday to Friday at participating restaurants.

Either way, it could save you some cash – a Double Whopper meal with large fries costs around £10. That’s £2 off with the 20% discount.
