Applications reopen for £150 supermarket vouchers

Thousands of households in the Dorset Council area will have the opportunity to apply for free £150 supermarket vouchers, as part of the Household Support Fund (HSF). The scheme, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions, aims to provide support for low-income households.

Apply online for the vouchers

Starting on Thursday, October 5 at 10am, eligible residents can apply for the supermarket vouchers through the online application form on the Dorset Council website. The application process will take about 6-8 weeks for successful applicants to receive their vouchers through Citizens Advice, who will be distributing them on behalf of the council.

Eligibility criteria for the vouchers

To be eligible for the supermarket vouchers, households must meet three criteria:

  • An annual household net income of less than £30,000
  • Savings of less than £16,000
  • No previous application for HSF payment within the last 6 months

Applicants should not include Personal Independence Payments, Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Carers Allowance, or Child Benefit in their calculations for the annual net income. Each household is limited to one application.
