London, United Kingdom - January 07, 2014: A photo of a Euro Millions lottery ticket in the United Kingdom. EuroMillions is a transnational lottery, launched on 7 February 2004 by France's Française des Jeux, Spain's Loterías y Apuestas del Estado and the United Kingdom's Camelot.

EUROMILLIONS lottery players have been warned that a lucky winner has just days to claim a £1m prize as organizers desperately seek the newly rich Brit.

The winner only has until 31 August to claim the jackpot or it will be donated to charity.

The winning ticket is known to have been purchased in Rochdale and the winning Millionaire Maker code was XLXX 96708.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.”

“We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time – the easiest way to do this is via the National Lottery app – or look anywhere a missing EuroMillions ticket could be hiding.”

“This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”

If the mystery winner fails to come forward, the prize money, and all the interest it has generated, will be given to National Lottery-backed charity projects across the UK.

Mr Carter detailed how players can check their tickets, explaining: “Players can check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also buy and check tickets in retail.”

“Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.”

“You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner”, he concluded.

If a player finds the winning ticket they are advised to call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 to claim their prize.
