BORIS Johnson has been cheered and whooped by NHS staff today as he visited a hospital to announce a major funding boost.

The PM got an incredible reception and a huge round of applause as he stopped to chat to nurses and patients at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.

He shook hands with several of them on his walkabout and Brits were delighted to see him.
