MATT Hancock has been mocked online after sharing a cringe-inducing clip of him lip syncing to a song from the Barbie movie.

The former Health Secretary channelled his inner Ken to belt out the ballad while scampering across a beach and busting some moves.

Matt Hancock shared a cringe-worthy clip miming to Ken’s ballad

The MP flexed his biceps and made fists towards the camera in the video

He mimed the epic ‘I’m Just Ken’ that is sang by Ryan Gosling in the hit Barbie film

Hancock sported a white shirt and beige shorts for the impromptu performance in the corny clip that he shared on Sunday night.

He flailed his hands in the air while miming along to I’m Just Ken, sung by Ryan Gosling in the new Barbie flick.

The ex-Jungle contestant leaned into the role of the vain Mattel doll and even appeared to take on some of his stiff mannerisms.

Hancock mortifyingly captioned the TikTok video: “I am Kenough!”

He gritted his teeth and flexed his muscles while mouthed along to the lyrics: “I’m just Ken! Where I see love, she sees a friend. What will it take for her to see the man behind the tan and fight for me?”

Another version of the makeshift music video showed the sunkissed politician prancing down a gravel path making similar excessive gestures.

It seems Hancock needed more than one take to get his Ken correct, according to his daughter’s follow-up post on her own account.

Many joked that the MP was jumping on the bandwagon after I’m Just Ken gained a spot on the Billboard 100 and the UK Top 40.

But the majority of social media users told of their second-hand embarrassment after enduring the 13-seconds of cringe.

More than 13,500 comments were left under Hancock’s cheesy rendition which has already gained over 165,000 views.

One commenter joked: “I’ve had Kenough.”

Another jibe read: “What on earth is going on in the House of Commons?”

A third added: “He’s so Alan.”

And another added: “To think this man worked for the government is a joke.”

Journalist and Celebrity Big Brother star India Willoughby also shared a Tweet in response to the toe-curling clip.

She wrote: “This is the stage where Alan Partridge drove to Norwich in his bare feet.

“Given what happened during Covid, I don’t think Matt Hancock has anything to sing about.”

But in comparison to some of the reality TV star’s other antics, his Ken clip is relatively tame.

His Cabinet career ended spectacularly in 2021 when HOAR sensationally revealed his lockdown-busting affair with top aide Gina Coladangelo.

And he was left red-faced earlier this year after his trove of Covid WhatsApps were revealed.

His stints on I’m A Celeb and SAS Who Dares Wins also raised eyebrows among the British public who were furious at his handling of the pandemic.

But Hancock is thought to have called time on his reality show career to want to focus on documentaries – or TikToks – instead.
