Tory MPs Miriam Cates and Danny Kruger have sent a letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, putting Chancellor Rishi Sunak on notice. They warn that the PM's recent Cabinet reshuffle could risk alienating the right wing of the party and the voters who brought them into power. They express concern that the government is moving away from the values and interests of mainstream Britain. In response, the MPs plan to launch a major fundraising drive to support the re-election of right wing Tories.

Reshuffle Raises Concerns

The letter from Cates and Kruger raises concerns about the direction of the government following the recent Cabinet reshuffle. They argue that the Conservative Party appears to be walking away from the coalition of voters who gave them a large majority in 2019. The MPs highlight the importance of a government that respects the values and interests of mainstream Britain, defends borders and sovereignty, upholds common sense attitudes, and supports families and local communities.

Support for Right Wing Tories

In addition to expressing their concerns, Cates and Kruger also pledge to directly raise funds and recruit supporters to help right wing Tory MPs and candidates in their election campaigns next year. The New Conservatives, which has around 24 members, campaigns to reduce migration, stop illegal Channel crossings, and combat "wokery" in Whitehall and schools.

Backing the PM and New Ministers

Despite their criticisms, Cates and Kruger state that they will welcome the new ministers to their posts and have confidence in their abilities. They also express their support for Prime Minister Boris Johnson, emphasizing that they want Chancellor Rishi Sunak to succeed.

Explosive Evidence on Channel Crossings

Meanwhile, former Home Secretary Suella Braverman, who was recently sacked, is reportedly preparing to release a "dossier of failure" regarding the government's efforts to stop illegal Channel crossings. Braverman claims to have evidence that exposes failings in Number 10's policies. The release of this evidence may occur after tomorrow's Supreme Court verdict on the legality of the Rwanda deportation plan.
