The highly anticipated drama series, expected to be titled "A Very Royal Scandal," will revolve around Prince Andrew's famous 2019 Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis, who will also have a supervising role in the show.

During the interview, Maitlis asked probing questions that became the centerpiece of Andrew's downfall.

A gripping portrayal of the scandalous saga

The drama will feature flashbacks, including Andrew's encounters with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein at various parties, as well as his infamous walk through a New York park after Epstein's release from prison. The narrative will also delve into the build-up to the interview and the BBC's efforts to secure it against all odds.

The series will shed light on how the controversy affected Andrew's relationships with his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who encouraged him to do the interview.
