Background

Virginia Giuffre, one of the accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, has claimed in court documents that Epstein paid her $15,000 to have sex with Prince Andrew. These bombshell allegations were revealed in the latest batch of documents from Giuffre's lawsuit against Epstein's business partner Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell was accused by Giuffre of being the mastermind behind her alleged sexual abuse by Epstein.

Settlement and Public Release of Documents

Giuffre and Maxwell were able to settle their lawsuit in 2017, but the terms and discussions were not made public. However, last week, a series of documents related to the case were released following a court order. These documents include deposition transcripts, legal briefs, and police reports.

Giuffre's Deposition

In her deposition, Giuffre was questioned by Epstein's attorney Alan Dershowitz. Dershowitz asked if she had been paid $10 to $15,000 by Epstein for having sex with Prince Andrew. Giuffre confirmed that she had received $15,000, but she did not know the equivalent in pounds as she received it in American dollars.

Prince Andrew's Denial

Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to the allegations against Epstein and Maxwell. Giuffre claims that Andrew had sex with her after she was trafficked at the age of 17.

Maxwell's Testimony

In her deposition, Maxwell admitted that Andrew had visited Epstein's private island but claimed that he was only there once. She also stated that the only women present on the island were Epstein's staff. Despite photographs showing Giuffre, Andrew, and Maxwell together in London, Maxwell claimed that she did not recall being in London with them.

Prince Andrew Lawsuit

Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2021, accusing him of battery and infliction of emotional distress. The lawsuit was settled in February 2022, with Andrew reportedly paying millions of pounds to settle, despite previously claiming in a 2019 interview that he had never met Giuffre.
