Kate and Wills pictured reading Prince Harry’s memoir – but all is not as it seems The photograph the world has been dying to see – the Prince and Princess of Wales reading Harry’s controversial book Spare – has finally been released (well, sort of). Sitting up in bed, the couple look pensive as the royals appear to pore over the pages of the memoir, which hit the shelves earlier this month. On a lazy Sunday, they are seen tucking into a fishless finger sandwich for brunch, while digesting the explosive revelations in Harry’s autobiography. But while the picture may look genuine, it actually features lookalikes of the royal couple. The image was shot by award-winning photographer Alison Jackson for Birds Eye Green Cuisine as part of their ‘Veganuary Reimagined’ campaign to persuade consumers to swap meat for a plant-based diet this month. While the picture of the Wills and Kate lookalikes was dubbed 'Green Cuisine serves an uno-fish-al portrait of The Windsors’, Jackson also shot further images of doppelgängers of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his family, and doubles of King Charles III and Queen Consort, Camilla. The Rishi photograph, titled Number Hen: A Green Cuisine Chicken-Less Dippers Su-snack, shows him enjoying a meat-free dinner with his family to embrace Veganuary – with a copy of Maths for Dummies at the table. The subtly-placed prop is a cheeky reminder of the controversy the PM sparked earlier this month when he suggested children should be taught maths until they are 18. IT looks like Prince William is finding his brother Harry’s book Spare tough to swallow.

The royal likenesses were photographed by snapper Alison Jackson for Birds Eye Green Cuisine’s Veganuary Reimagined campaign.

Alison Jackson, said: “My work is all about bringing the imagined private lives of public figures to light through art.

“It is that peep behind the door we all want to see.

“With my ‘Veganuary Reimagined’ series it is easy to imagine that King Charles and Queen Camilla would want to add more plant-based options to their diets, particularly given his quest for more environmental consciousness.

“Or that the Prime Minister would gather for a meat-free dinner with his family to embrace Veganuary as he takes a break from running the country.

“Or how William and Kate would want to enjoy a moment to themselves for a plant-based brunch in bed and a break from busy schedules.”
