KING Charles' 'real feelings' about Meghan Markle's claim of racism within the royal family have allegedly been revealed in a letter, according to a new book by Harry and Meghan's friend Omid Scobie.

The Letter Exchange

According to the book, the King and the Duchess of Sussex exchanged correspondence after Meghan told Oprah Winfrey that an unnamed royal had made comments about her son Archie's skin color. In the letters, the King reportedly insisted that no member of the royal family showed "casual prejudice" towards Archie.

Meghan's Claims

Meghan is said to have made the claims in private letters to Charles in spring 2021, following her and Harry's Oprah interview. The book, entitled "Endgame," reveals that Meghan named not one, but two members of the royal household who she alleges took part in conversations about Archie's color.

Charles' Response

Leaked extracts from the book show that Charles wrote back to Meghan, expressing his desire to clear up any misunderstandings. He reportedly stated that he felt "no ill will" or "casual prejudice" had been involved in any discussions about Archie.

Harry's Book and Previous Allegations

In his book "Spare," Harry denied accusing anyone in the royal family of racism but did suggest the presence of "unconscious bias." Omid Scobie, who previously wrote a biography of Harry and Meghan called "Finding Freedom," has been referred to as "Meghan's Cheerleader" and faced claims that the Sussexes fed him favorable stories for his first book.

The Frogmore Cottage Incident

The new book also claims that Harry made a cutting remark to his father when he and Meghan were asked to give back the keys to Frogmore Cottage. The duke allegedly asked Charles, "Don't you want to see your grandchildren anymore?"

It remains to be seen how these revelations will impact the relationship between the royal family members.
