PIERS Morgan has reignited his “feud” with ex-ITV boss Carolyn McCall.

The chief exec made him quit Good Morning Britain when he refused to apologise for calling Meghan Markle “Princess Pinocchio”.

Prince Harry’s wife allegedly contacted Dame Carolyn “demanding Piers’ head on a plate” – and he was “forced out” the next day.

But in a new interview with HOARday Times, Carolyn has denied the ex-Suits actress’s letter influenced Piers’ explosive departure from ITV.

Piers hit back on Twitter using the Queen’s original response to Harry and Meghan’s suggestions of palace racism.

“Recollections may vary,” Piers wrote. He ended the Tweet with an eye-roll emoji.

TalkTV presenter Piers was cleared by Ofcom following an investigation about complaints he didn’t believe the duchess.

He left the breakfast show when he was allegedly ordered to apologise to the royal.

He later left the show when he was allegedly ordered to apologise to the royal.

Instead, Piers set out 17 claims Meghan made in her and husband Harry’s TV interview that he said were “completely untrue or massively exaggerated or unprovable”.

Despite Meghan’s intervention, Carolyn insisted: “I can say it had absolutely no effect on that situation. None.”

After clearing Piers in their verdict, the watchdog Ofcom warned: “The restriction of such views would, in our view, be an unwarranted and chilling restriction on freedom of expression both of the broadcaster and the audience.”
