Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted celebrating the Duke's 39th birthday in style at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany. The couple was seen knocking back beers and enjoying the volleyball final alongside Veteran's Minister Johnny Mercer.

Happy Birthday, Harry!

As news of the Duke's special day spread, the crowd erupted in song, singing Happy Birthday in both English and German. An embarrassed Harry was even brought onto the court, where he fist bumped the games mascot and was presented with a cake featuring a miniature figure with ginger hair.

A Nail-Biting Match

The match between Poland and Colombia had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Excitement filled the air as spectators jumped out of their seats to cheer on their favorite teams. However, it seemed like the intensity of the game got the best of Meghan, who was seen in tears as she handed out medals to the winning team, Poland.

Promoting the 2025 Invictus Games

During their visit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also attended a reception hosted by the Canadian delegation. The event aimed to promote the 2025 Invictus Games, which will feature winter sports for the first time.

A Traditional German Birthday Dinner

To cap off the celebrations, the Duke and Duchess, accompanied by Archewell aides, enjoyed a traditional German dinner. They dined at Im Goldenen Kessel, a local restaurant in Düsseldorf, where they indulged in blood sausages, Wiener Schnitzel, Bratwurst sausage, red cabbage, and mashed potatoes. The couple opted to sit in a public area, rather than in a VIP section, and were seen laughing, joking, and making toasts throughout the meal.

The owner of the restaurant, Thea Ungermann, expressed her excitement and said she got "goosebumps" when the Sussexes arrived. Harry even shared a hug with her. She described the couple as "very relaxed" and mentioned that they sat next to each other during the meal.

To accompany their dinner, the party enjoyed Schumacher Alt, the same beer being served at the Invictus Games, which Prince Harry is currently hosting in the city.
