Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of "cashing in" on their royal connections by using the royal crest and Sussex titles in their rebrand.

Rebranding with Royal Connections

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have launched a new website, Sussex.com, which serves as a "one-stop-shop" for their activities.

The website, titled "The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan," will share personal updates for the couple that are not related to their organization, Archewell.

Hypocritical Move

Royal expert Angela Levin has criticized Harry and Meghan's rebrand, stating that they are using the royal titles they claim to despise in order to benefit financially.

Levin also pointed out that the couple promised not to use their royal connections. She believes they should be prevented from using a title they spent years insulting.

The Archewell Rebrand

The new website replaces the couple's previous brand, SussexRoyal, which the Queen banned them from using after they stepped away from royal duties four years ago.

The name Archewell was inspired by their son Archie, combining the Greek word "arche," meaning source of action, and "well" as "a plentiful source or supply; a place we go to dig deep."

Harry and Meghan's Non-Profit and Production Company

The website links to the couple's non-profit organization, the Archewell Foundation, and their production company, Archewell Productions.

Clutching at Straws for a Deal

Royal experts have claimed that Harry and Meghan are desperately trying to secure a deal with media giant Paramount. This comes after one of Archewell Productions' key members quit.

Financial Challenges

The Archewell Foundation operated at a loss in 2021 but was able to stay in the black due to earlier donations. The foundation received a significant single donation of $10m, which accounted for 77% of its total income that year.

Additionally, Archewell revealed a hole in its accounts in December 2020, as it received nearly £9m less in donations compared to the previous year.

Visit to the UK

Prince Harry recently traveled to the UK to meet with King Charles following his cancer diagnosis. However, there was no meeting with his brother, Prince William, after spending around 45 minutes with Charles at Clarence House.
