PRINCE Harry said life has “changed dramatically” for all of us during the coronavirus crisis as he marked what would have been the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex shared the video on his Twitter account, and urged his “Invictus family” to look out for each other after the games were postponed as a result of the pandemic.

The 2020 Invictus Games were set to be held in The Hague, Netherlands this week but have been pushed forward to 2021 due to the spread of the virus.

The competition, set up by Prince Harry in 2014, brings together current and former wounded, injured or sick veterans from more than 20 countries around the world.

In the video, Harry said:”As we commemorate VE Day this weekend and pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of the entire Second World War generation, we should have also been gathering together in the Netherlands to kickstart the Invictus Games 2020 in The Hague.

“Life has changed dramatically for all of us since I was last in The Hague, but the IG 2020 team has done an incredible job to adapt so quickly to the situation, and they are busy putting plans in place for next year.”

He added: “The new dates will be shared with you very soon. I hope that all of those in the Invictus family are coping well and supporting each other through this challenging time.”

The Duke of Sussex also told his Invictus family to make sure they were “supporting one another” during this difficult time.

He continued: “You guys are the best at this, so I have no doubt that you’re all rallying around and supporting one another.”

Though the games are postponed, there are plenty of virtual activities set to take place in the coming week, and Harry urged everyone to get involved.

Harry also paid tribute to the “incredible healthcare professionals” around the world helping to deal with the coronavirus crisis.

It comes after Prince Harry moved to LA last year with the Meghan Markle and one-year-old son Archie, and are reported to be living in Beverly Hills.

Recently, the pair were pictured delivering food parcels to those who are at a high risk of catching coronavirus – as well as taking their beloved dogs out for a walk.

A source told the Mail Online: “Meghan and Harry have been extremely cautious to keep their base in LA under wraps.

“They have been at this property for a month without anyone finding out.”
