Sales Soared, but Interest Quickly Fizzled

Prince Harry's memoir, which saw record-breaking sales upon its release, has now been abandoned by readers, resulting in publishing companies being stuck with excess copies. The book sold an impressive 3.2 million copies in its first week, with 1.4 million copies sold on its very first day.

A Controversial Tell-All

In his memoir, the Duke of Sussex, aged 38, made various shocking revelations, including a physical altercation with his brother, Prince William, and intimate details about his personal life. These disclosures received mixed reactions from the public.

A Sharp Decline in Popularity

Despite the initial rush to purchase the book for exclusive insights into Harry's life, demand quickly dwindled. Major retailers began selling the memoir at a discounted price within months of its release, and during the summer, it became the most discarded book, found in hotel rooms, bins, and by pools at popular vacation spots.

Hotels Overwhelmed with Unwanted Copies

Tour operator On The Beach has been inundated with returns of the memoir from fed-up hotel staff at resorts in Spain, Greece, and Turkey. Zoe Harris, Chief Customer Officer at On The Beach, expressed her frustration, stating that their lost property offices are overflowing with copies of the book.

Harry and Meghan's Hollywood Struggles

In addition to the book's lackluster reception, royal author Tom Bower claimed that Meghan and Harry have struggled to establish themselves in Hollywood. Their £18 million Spotify deal was terminated last year after producing only 13 episodes in 31 months. Bower further commented that their attempts at rebranding and finding new sources of income have been largely unsuccessful.

Meghan's Desperate Search for a Role

Bower noted that Meghan appears to be "desperate" to find a new role, which may explain her recent silence. Despite their challenges, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to put on a positive front.
