Promoting the Earthshot Prize

The Prince of Wales is using his trip to promote the Earthshot Prize, an ambitious environmental award that aims to find and scale-up innovative solutions to repair the planet. The prince will visit the Billion Oyster Project to learn more about their efforts to restore oyster reefs in New York Harbor, and he will also attend the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, where the 2023 finalists will be announced.

Addressing Delegates

During the Innovation Summit, Prince William will address the delegates alongside other notable speakers, including former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg, Earthshot trustee and former New Zealand prime minister Dame Jacinda Ardern, and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Together, they will discuss the importance of taking bold action to create a healthier and more sustainable world.

Prize Categories

The winners of the Earthshot Prize will receive £1 million in prize money and will be recognized in five categories, or Earthshots: Protect and restore nature; Clean our air; Revive our oceans; Build a waste-free world; and Fix our climate. This year's ceremony will be held in Singapore, following previous events in Boston and London.
