Outrageous Claims

Prince William's friends have strongly criticized the "outrageous" claims made in Omid Scobie's new book, 'Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival'. The book alleges that Prince William attempted to undermine his brother Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Prioritizing Loyalty to the Monarchy

According to the book, Scobie, known as "Meghan's mouthpiece," suggests that William prioritized his loyalty to the monarchy over his relationship with his brother and leaked stories about Harry and Meghan to the press. However, William's friends vehemently deny these allegations, stating that he has always been tight-lipped about his family and has made it clear that he would not engage in media "deals."

Walking on Eggshells

Friends of Prince William also reject the claim that royal aides were briefing negative stories about Harry and Meghan. They insist that everyone was walking on eggshells since the engagement, trying to keep the couple happy.

Discrepancies and Controversial Theories

The book has faced criticism for its numerous discrepancies. One of the major controversies is the claim that Princess Diana's death in 1997 was caused by her driver being blinded by a "major white flash" from a paparazzi photographer's camera. This theory was part of Mohamed Fayed's conspiracy claims, which alleged that Diana and his son Dodi were murdered as part of an Establishment plot ordered by Prince Philip. French authorities and former Met Police chief Lord Stevens have dismissed these suggestions.

Challenges to the Police Inquest and Palace Statements

The book further asserts that both Prince William and Prince Harry consider the police inquest into their mother's death as a "joke" and claims that the Palace lied about Camilla's future title. It also suggests that the Royal Household's diversity drive is merely a PR stunt. However, it should be noted that Prince Charles has hired individuals from diverse backgrounds for key positions in the past.

Unresolved Relationships

The book claims that Prince Charles did not make efforts to repair his relationship with Prince Harry after Megxit, despite Harry being invited to his Coronation. It also mentions that Harry declined an offer to spend the anniversary of the Queen's death at Balmoral with his father earlier this year.
