WHILE drama continued to unfold in Albert Square, Billy Mitchell was taking care of business in Portugal.
But when he returns to Walford, next week in EastEnders, he’s hit with a devastating bombshell about his granddaughter Lola Pearce.

But Lola Pearce has terrible news for him
The market trader portrayed by Perry Fenwick was embroiled in Phil Mitchell’s explosive feud with DCI Samantha Keeble.
Billy was accused of murder as Phil was desperately trying to get rid of the copper’s hold over him.
Torn between wanting to set himself free and protecting his innocent cousin, Phil tried to get Billy money to make it up to him.
He eventually sent him away to Portugal where his brother Grant Mitchell had some work to give him.
But with the long feud finally coming to an end earlier in the year, Billy can finally make his way back home.
Sadly, the reunion will be bittersweet as Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) will be giving him a heart-breaking update on her health.
The hairdresser is due for an emotional exit after she was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.
More recently, she was informed that chemotherapy was no longer stopping the cancer from spreading and her time in Albert Square is slowly coming to an end.
Billy is in the know that Lola is ill but he has no clue that he will soon be spending his last ever moments with her.
Coming up next week on BBC One, Billy excitedly talks about taking the family for a summer holiday in Portugal, Lola is forced to tell him the truth about her prognosis.
He is utterly devastated and consumed by anger when Lola tells him she only has a few more months to live.
And with time running out, Lola is seriously distraught by the task of getting some essential things in order.
She reminds her husband Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) that there’s a lot to go over, most notably about her daughter Lexi.
Lola makes it clear to Jay she has already chosen who Lexi’s legal guardian will be – and she tells him that she would like the mechanic to adopt her.
But will Jay accept to go along with it?
