AN EastEnders fan has launched a baffling campaign against the soap after spotting something very strange about the BBC set.

The show has been on our screens since 1985 and during that time, the sets have undergone numerous decor changes.

The soap has a number of different interior and exterior sets but the fan noticed a link between them all

The eagle-eyed fan noticed a large proportion of the EastEnders set seemed to be blue

The soap also moved to a brand new set earlier this year, but one eagle-eyed fan has noticed a bizarre trend running through the sets.

It has prompted them to launch a baffling campaign against EastEnders bosses, under the banner ‘BlueEnders’.

Posting a montage of the sets on Twitter, the fan tweeted above: “EastEnders must stop this evilness! Retweet to spread the word.”

The images revealed that a vast amount of interior sets – and some exterior sets – are painted or decorated blue.

Examples included Phil and Kat’s front room, Kim Fox’s kitchen, The Carter’s living room above the Queen Vic and Sharon’s living room.

Meanwhile the exteriors referenced included Square Dealz, Beale’s Plaice, the Minute Mart and the garage.

In total they managed to list 27 separate examples showing shades of blue being the dominate colour in Albert Square.

Another fan replied: “wtf i never realised there where so many blue sets, @bbceastenders GET THE SET DESIGNERS TO B&Q DARLIN.”

A fellow EastEnders viewers tagged the soap’s boss Chris Clenshaw and tweeted: “@chris_clenshaw You need to see this.”

The BBC spent a whopping £87m on the new set designed to be used for filming in HD.

The former Albert Square set was built in 1984 with an intention to be used for two years and was no longer “fit for purpose,” the BBC said.

The investment in the BBC’s longest-running TV serial drama and wider BBC Elstree Centre will enable improved high definition for Walford fans.

It has also enhanced filming options, with EastEnders production now able to explore new areas on screen.

The colour is also used in other sets such as the hospital and doctors surgery

Exteriors like the chippy and the Minute Mart are also shades of blue
