Earlier this year, the beloved EastEnders character, played by Shane Richie, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Surprisingly, he found support from an unexpected ally, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who encouraged him to confront his condition while being there for his son, Tommy Moon.
