VIEWERS of Emmerdale have been left hitting out at the show over the affair of Wendy Posner and Liam Cavanagh.
The couple, who work together at the Dales surgery, have been embroiled in a steamy illicit relationship after bonding over their shared love of writing murder mysteries and short fiction stories.

However, Wendy, played by actress Susan Cookson, has felt liberated and admitted her joy at feeling ‘alive’ thanks to her new-found passion in her life.
She has been able to continue with her affair despite knowing that partner Bob Hope would be left crushed if he knew.
However, during Tuesday’s instalment of the soap opera, fans were left cringed out by the over-the-top sex scenes between the pair.
Unable to keep their hands off one another, Wendy and Liam (Jonny McPherson) got to it once again and were left looking flustered straight after.
Unhappy fans have taken to Twitter to air their thoughts on the pair’s passionate romance.
Slamming the couple’s hot and heavy action, one wrote: “Omg Liam and Wendy just made me cringe so massively in that scene #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “All Liam and Wendy appear to do is remove clothing and get down to it, at any given chance. He does it more with her than he did with Leyla. Give it a rest! #Emmerdale.”
As a third said of the “uncomfortable” storyline: “Wendy and Liam again – I think I speak for everyone when I say uncomfortable viewing #Emmerdale.”
