Suni Sharma has been living in the Dales, unaware of his family's hidden past. But all that is about to change as his "cousin" Jai Sharma reveals a shocking secret next week on Emmerdale.
After discovering that Jai is actually his half-brother, Suni is left to cope with the life-altering news. But there might be another surprise in store for the Sharma family.
New Life in the Dales
Suni, portrayed by Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana, arrived in the ITV drama earlier this year for Jai's wedding. Since then, he has settled into the village and found a job at The Hide. He also started a romance with reformed villain Nicky Milligan.
However, Suni's arrival was far from blissful, as Jai's wedding was overshadowed by the sudden death of their father, Rishi Sharma. Before his death, Jai learned that he had been adopted and that Rishi had kept this secret from him for 40 years.
Jai eventually discovered that he is Rishi's biological nephew and that Suni is his half-brother. However, he chose not to reveal this truth to Suni at the time.
A Shocking Revelation
Now, Jai finally tells Suni the truth about their parentage. Suni struggles to process this bombshell and Jai beats himself up over it.
Laurel Thomas, Jai's love interest, comforts him and advises him to give Suni time to come to terms with everything. A relieved Jai is surprised when Suni approaches him, ready to talk.
