DAISY Midgeley managed to trick Justin Rutherford into getting arrested but is this really the end of her ordeal?

There could also be bad news for one Coronation Street legend. Here’s what you could expect from the ITV soap.

Is Daisy Midgeley’s stalking ordeal really over?

How will Ryan cope with his burns?

Will Justin get comeuppance?

1. Justin escapes custody

The troubled character portrayed by Andrew Still has always found a way back to harassing Daisy (Charlotte Jordan).

Could his arrest for Ryan Connor’s acid attack really stop him for good?

Or could he manage to find a way out of prison?

Daisy and Ryan (Ryan Prescott) get news about their tormentor in scenes airing this week.

Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) is stunned when the unstable Justin pleads not guilty at his plea hearing.

The Weatherfield teacher and journalist braces himself to break the news to Daisy who couldn’t face the hearing.

Later on, she calls at the hospital to share the update with an injured Ryan and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan).

The Bistro waiter admits he’s scared witless by the thought of having to relive his nightmare in court but Alya assures him that she’ll be right by his side the entire journey.

But her support may not be enough as Ryan starts to find it hard to face the world around him.

Could Justin escaping prison push Ryan over the edge?

One stalwart’s health could be in jeopardy

2. Devastating health update

Speaking of struggle, one Weatherfield stalwart could be facing a heart-breaking health battle – and it’s not Paul Foreman.

Roy Cropper (portrayed by David Neilson) first rocked up the cobbles in July 1995 and viewers struggle to imagine what life in Corrie without him would look like.

This week, the café owner is convinced by Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) to accompany her to her salsa class with Glenda Shuttleworth.

The latter, played by Jodie Prenger, realises she’s got her work cut out for her when it’s clear Evelyn and Roy aren’t the most natural dancers.

With their salsa lesson underway, Roy suddenly clutches his chest, admitting he doesn’t feel well and he hurries out.

Evelyn is later upset and calls in the café to scold him for abandoning her mid-salsa lesson.

Roy insists that he felt unwell but refuses to elaborate, leaving Evelyn to walk out in a huff.

In later scenes, Roy attends an appointment with Dr Gaddas (Christine Mackie) and describes how he’s been suffering from chest pains.

To make matters worse, he lets her know he has also been feeling breathless, prompting her to arrange for some tests.

Evelyn soon finds out Roy is having health issues and insists on accompanying him the the hospital – how will he react?

Could he get sad news about his health?

Will Faye tie the knot with Craig Tinker?

3. Shocking affair for Faye

Is there heartbreak looming on the horizon for Craig Tinker?

The copper portrayed by Colson Smith recently met Miley as Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) was pushed into a reunion with her estranged daughter when Jackson Hodge came back to the UK from Canada.

However, fans of the Manchester-based soap opera have started to speculate Faye and Jackson may be keen to give their teen romance another go.

With Ellie Leach’s exit from the show due to air in upcoming months, viewers have imagined her willing to drop everything in the cobbles and set off with Miley and Jackson.

And they may be right.

This week, the father-daughter duo call at the Underworld factory to see Faye.

Faye is touched when Craig presents them with three tickets for the Weatherfield Giants basketball game and insists they go and enjoy themselves.

As they head for the tram stop with Miley, Faye and Jackson share a lingering look.

Later back at the Bistro Craig presents Miley with a basketball signed by her favourite player.

The chemistry is off the charts between Faye and Jackson as they arrange to meet in town for a drink after his job interview.

Faye isn’t fully honest with Craig and she tells him she’s meeting a girlfriend before joining Jackson in a hotel bar.

Unfortunately for her, Beth Tinker (Lisa George) is present at the same bar, although she’s showing up with her own dirty secret as she’s followed by her former boyfriend Marco.

Both women share horrified looks, each having been caught on a date with their ex.

But will it convince Faye to keep Jackson at arm’s length?

How will she react to Craig asking for her hand in marriage?

Could she accept?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
