Strictly Come Dancing fans express anger over schedule change

Loyal viewers of the BBC dance contest, Strictly Come Dancing, were left furious after a surprise shake-up in the show's schedule. The programme was brought forward in the Saturday evening schedules, causing discontent among fans.

Viewers express frustration at the earlier time slot

Many fans took issue with the programme starting at 6pm, a full hour earlier than last weekend's episode. The BBC made no official announcement regarding the decision to air the show in an early time slot, but it is not uncommon for the programme to have variable start times between 6pm and 7:30pm.

It is believed that the Remembrance Day concert airing may have played a role in the schedule change.

Unhappy fans voice their concerns on social media

Disgruntled viewers quickly took to social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter), to express their frustration with the schedule change. Some even went as far as saying that the broadcaster "had no right" to make this decision.

One viewer tweeted: "#Strictly has got no right being on so bloody early. #SCD."

Another user added: "#Strictly is on pretty early tonight."

A third person wrote: "Why is Strictly on at Six O'Clock? Absolutely ridiculously early."

Impressive performances and surprise revelations

Despite the schedule shake-up, there were notable performances during the show. Layton Williams, Ellie Leach, and Bobby Brazier all impressed the judging panel. However, Channel 4 star Krishnan Guru-Murthy found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard after his Samba failed to meet expectations.

During the show, Bobby Brazier hinted that he is dating someone new after confessing to "sharing a bed" with a mystery individual. The actor and model, who is the son of Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier, made the revelation to Claudia Winkleman following his latest performance on Strictly Come Dancing with his professional partner, Dianne Buswell.

In a lighthearted moment, judge Shirley Ballas admitted to nearly wetting herself live on air while watching tennis star Annabel Croft's performance. Shirley laughed and said, "You had beautiful chemistry and you let yourself go on this… I might wet my pants, I was so excited!"

As the competition continues, the stars will be hoping to survive another week and make it through to the highly anticipated Blackpool week.
