She filmed round her home as the decor was installed

Shirley, 62, who is best known for appearing on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel, filmed round her home as it was made festive.

She showed off a team delivering the decorations, including white trees, evergreen branches and bright sparkling lights.

They installed the plants and the lights around her stairway by the entry of the chic home, as well as silver and white baubles.

Shirley also opted to have the outside of her home decorated, including the front door with a large Christmas wreath.

The star opted for a festive green, silver and white colour palette as she dusted the shrubs outside her home with fake snow.

Shirley then showed off the stunning Christmas tree in the corner of her living room by the fireplace as part of the completed look.

It comes after Shirley opened up about how she plans to quit Strictly and swap the glamorous world of ballroom for life as a pig farmer.

The show’s head judge said she’d gladly ditch the dresses and sequins she wears on the BBC One contest in favour of a simpler existence.

Shirley has been seduced by the delights of the countryside by her nature-loving son, Mark Ballas, and his wife, singer songwriter BC Jean.

She said: “One day I’d like to get the welly boots on and go on to a farm and clean up the animals – no makeup, welly boots and a big over-Mac.

“People see me on Strictly all glammed up but really deep down inside I love all the activities that people would never expect I would love.

“My daughter-in-law, she would like nothing more than a big farm and lots of animals. She’s very much about nature, very much about the world and saving it.

”She’s just a fantastic human being and I would never say no to living on a farm.”
