Former Strictly Come Dancing personality, Helen Skelton, was left in shock during a live broadcast of Christmas on the Farm. Skelton, who was co-hosting the show with Jules Hudson on Channel 5, found herself in a chaotic situation when an alpaca became overly friendly towards her.

Surprising Affection from an Alpaca

The incident occurred while Skelton and Hudson were trying to present the festive show from Cannon Hall Farm in Yorkshire. Standing among a group of alpacas, the presenters were about to move on to the next segment when one particular alpaca named Stanley took a liking to Skelton.

As the alpaca got closer to her, Skelton, clearly taken aback, tried to calm the animal down. "It is really hard to enjoy when you are being hustled by an Alpaca! Calm down, Stanley!" she exclaimed.

An Alpaca with a Mind of Its Own

Despite Skelton's attempts to regain control, Stanley had other ideas. The alpaca even wandered over to the production crew, causing further chaos on set.

Jules Hudson commented on the mischievous behavior of the alpaca, saying, "The animals are tucked up in here and joining us tonight. More obedient than Stanley the alpaca, who is being very cheeky. Trying to eat scripts and trying to eat the crew, looking for a Christmas present or maybe looking for a girlfriend."

Llamas Add to the Distraction

Not only did the alpacas cause havoc, but the llamas also provided their fair share of distractions. Jules Hudson mentioned how the frisky animals had "savaged" other members of the crew. The producers and camera crew had a difficult time dealing with the mischievous behavior of the lambs.

Special Guests and Surprises

In addition to the animal antics, Christmas on the Farm featured special guests. JLS star JB Gill and Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley joined Skelton and Hudson on the show, surprising viewers as the secret Santa.
