Claudia and Tess welcomed Oti back to the studio

And hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly confirmed Oti’s presence in their opening intro moments later, revealing she choreographed the epic opener.

Oti smiled and clapped as the camera panned to her.

“BRING BACK OTI FULL TIME!” one fan demanded on twitter.

“Oti mabuse in elstree and I am suddenly at my upmost peaceful state,” a second chipped in.

“Oti we miss you,” weighed in a third.

And a fourth added: “So good to see Oti in the audience tonight, not to mention choreographing that opening routine.”

The routine Oti choreographed saw dancers performing to such hit musicals as Dreamgirls.

Oti announced she was leaving the hit BBC show in February this year, leaving fans devastated.

She won the last series with Bill Bailey and felt it was time to hang up her shoes.

The 32-year-old has been part of the BBC dancing show since 2015 and is the only professional to win the competition in two consecutive years.

Oti wrote on social media: “Never easy to say goodbye I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time.

“Lifting the glitter ball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers! You are my family and I adore you all forever. Thank you @[email protected] and @jasongilkison for truly believing in me.”

She continued: “I’m honestly so grateful to The BBC and will always remember that Strictly and BBC brought me to the UK – which I now call home and I have learnt and grown so much. – Thank You from the bottom of my heart.”

Oti is much missed by fans of the show
