Hamza was crowned winner of Strictly 2022

Countryfile‘s Hamza, 32, was crowned winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2022 after a spectacular final.

After weeks of dedicating her life to dancing, Fleur has decided to focus on music again.

The star, who placed second on the eleventh series of ITV’s The X Factor, is due to release a new single on her own label.

Fleur said: “After being on Strictly every weekend, the buzz of performing came back.

“The last body of work I released was my album Fearless,” she recalls.

“It was shortly after my dad passed away and just at the time that the pandemic came into our lives, and everyone went into lockdown, so I had to cancel my tour, I had to cancel all my promo, I had to cancel everything. It was such a shame that it was released at that time.

“Since then, and since losing my dad, I’m just finding my stride again and getting back into music.

“Although I do presenting, fitness, and lots of other different things, music is my number one love.”

Her new single Count The Ways is her first track since her latest album Fearless, was released in 2020.

Fleur was dropped from Syco three years after her stint on the ITV singing competition – and is now working for her own.

On Saturday the four finalists took to the floor with three routines tonight, Judge’s Choice, their favourite dance from the series and a show dance.

Hamza had cried a number of times during the final, and it wasn’t long before he was in tears after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced his name alongside his pro partner Jowita Przystał.

Asked how he felt, he said: “Words can’t describe how I feel.”

He then turned to Jowita and said she was “an angel disguised as a human” before adding it was “the best thing that has ever happened” to him.
