It airs training footage of the couples prior to their performances, as well as exclusive interviews with the celebs and pro dancers.

However, viewers at home have now branded the long-running series as ‘boring’ and ‘rubbish’ as they take aim at one segment.

It sees the ‘Pro Challenge’ between the dancers as they compete against each other in the yearly competition.

This series they’re all battling it out for a Guinness World Record.

Spanish dancer Gorka Marquez was up this week as he attempted to perform as many Charleston kick steps as possible in just 30 seconds.

The 32-year-old took to the stage as judge Craig Revel Horwood watched on as a Guinness World Record official adjudicated.

But while he was on stage fans at home were slamming the segment – and they didn’t hold back.

“Think they need to bin the “pro challenge” it was fun at first, this one is tedious – as is the faux build up to giving the results. I know they need filler as the number of couples reduce, but have fewer shows #Strictly #ItTakesTwo,” said one viewer.

Another posted: “Nobody understands the #Strictly #ItTakesTwo #prochallenge which is odd to say the least.”

“This pro challenge is rubbish and boring. Scrap it! #ItTakesTwo,” added a third.

Meanwhile, fans were left concerned for Rylan earlier this week when he failed to present the show.

Clark, 34, usually presents It Takes Two on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

However he was absent on Monday as Janette – who usually hosts on Wednesdays and Thursdays – stood in.

Opening the show, she said: “Your eyes are not deceiving you.

“Rylan has not shrunk it is me, Janette, and I am going to be with you all this week up until Thursday.”
