STRICTLY pro Amy Dowden sparked concern during last night’s results show after looking teary before ‘going missing’.

The popular Welsh dancer, who is partnered with EastEnders’ James Bye, looked overjoyed to make it through to next week’s show when hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly called out the pair’s names.

However, after hugging in celebration the duo then temporarily disappeared from the top deck while the other celebs waited to find out their fate.

When the group were pulled together for a chat with Claudia, Amy looked glassy-eyed beside James and held her arm across her stomach.

Then at the end of the show, when the pros and celebs were congratulating eliminated duo Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer as they took to the ballroom for their customary last dance, James was seen alone without Amy.

A Strictly spokesman and representative for Amy both declined to comment.

The pairing made it through despite finishing second bottom of the leaderboard after doing a foxtrot to the EastEnders’ theme tune in front of a replica Queen Vic pub.

Ex-footballer Tony Adams was bottom of the leaderboard but also lived to dance another day.

Comedian Jayde Adams was sent home after a dance-off with Molly Rainford, who danced to the Grange Hill theme with pro Carlos Gus.

Meanwhile ex Strictly pro James Jordan lashed out after the show paid tribute to the BBC’s centenary.

He wrote: “I’m so happy this won’t happen on Strictly again for another 100 years!”

When one fan responded: “My God, all the negativity tonight,” James chimed: “Just saying what everyone is thinking luv.”

He followed up his message with an add-on, and put: “As a MASSIVE fan of Strictly and commented for you for the last 10 years.

“I would say it wasn’t the best show I’ve ever seen in those 10 years.

“I get the whole 100 year thing and it’s done now – so let’s go a bit old school next week please. Ballroom & Latin.”
