Strictly star Molly Rainford scared stage school background will stop public voting for her

MOLLY Rainford says she believes the fact that she went to a stage school may have put off viewers voting for her.

Low public votes meant the 22-year-old actress and singer has twice been in the bottom two this series, despite frequently getting scored highly by the judges.

Molly, who attended the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, admitted: “That could have been a factor, but for me it’s so funny because I never had any confidence in dance at school.

“But there are so many different levels on this show so it could have been anything.”

The former CBBC actress plans wants to capitalise on her appearance on the show by launching a music career.

She said: “I can now bring in my new dance skills to my music which I couldn’t do before so I think Strictly has definitely made me a more confident and complete performer and artist.”

Molly first appeared on the nations screens as a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.

She has even been tipped to represent the UK in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
