Strictly fans are convinced this could land her in the bottom two this week

Ahead of her couples’ choice performance to Grange Hill’s theme tune, Molly returned to her secondary school and explained how lucky to have once studied there.

In the short segment, she told viewers: “Going to Sylvia Young Theatre School was such an amazing opportunity for me.

“It feels weird coming back because I remember my first day – I was so excited to be in a school where so many other kids loved to sing, loved to perform.”

Molly was left in tears as she reunited with her former principal, she then showed off some of her couples’ choice.

A number of famous faces have attended the theatre school, including popstar Rita Ora, McFly’s Tom Fletcher and former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson.

But viewers were not impressed and are convinced it could land her in the bottom two.

One wrote: “Seems like a dangerous move to openly admits Molly went to stage school and might be a bit of a ringer. #StrictlyComeDancing”

Another posted: “Seeing that Molly went to theatre school might drop her into the bottom two. #Strictly”

“Molly went to stage school and was on Britain’s Got Talent. #Strictly,” a third said.

Another fumed: “Imagine being Molly’s parents and having paid so much for theatre school, and straight after Molly seeing a guy from a nature show and no theatre experience and just be naturally good.”

Someone else quipped: “Hahahah they’re actually showing Molly being a theatre school kid. #Strictly”

Another annoyed viewer added: “Molly is one of those young BBC stars with a stage school/dance background that the #Strictly producers are pushing to win.”

Judge Anton Du Beke said it was too “safe” and Craig Revel Horwood said it “lacked definition”.

Motsi Mabuse said it was “difficult to get the type of vibe with this type of music”, saying they did the “best with what they had” and praised Molly for being one of the most talented girls in the competition.

Despite the criticism, Molly and pro partner Carlos Gu scored 30 points.
