Netflix Unveils Exciting New Titles, But Not Everyone Can Access Them
Netflix recently made a slew of exciting announcements about the new titles coming to their service next year. While there are plenty of highly-rated and popular titles on the horizon, not all users will have access to them.
Hades Takes Center Stage
One of the biggest announcements of the weekend was the arrival of Hades on Netflix. Developed by Supergiant Games, Hades is an award-winning game with an impressive 93 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic.
Apple-Exclusive Anger
However, Android users will be left frustrated, as Hades will be exclusive to Apple devices. With approximately 70% of global smartphone users on Android, this means the majority of Netflix subscribers won't be able to play the highly-anticipated game.
A Silver Lining for Apple Device Owners
While the Android majority may be disappointed, those who own other Apple smart devices, such as tablets, will still be able to enjoy Hades on Netflix.
Netflix Hopes to Boost Game Popularity
Netflix has been actively working to enhance the popularity of its gaming offerings. By partnering with various studios, the streaming giant aims to attract more subscribers to its gaming platform. Big-name games like Hades are seen as a key driver in achieving this goal.
The Future of Hades on Android
Although Netflix doesn't have the final say on which platforms a game is available on, Android users are hopeful that Hades will eventually make its way to their devices. Alternatively, they are eagerly awaiting the release of another blockbuster game that is on par with Hades.
