The highly anticipated BAFTA Games Awards 2024 have concluded, revealing the outstanding winners at a glittering ceremony in London.

The Big Winners of the Night

The standout of the evening was Baldur’s Gate 3, securing an impressive five awards, including the coveted Best Game and Players’ Choice titles. The game also triumphed in the Music and Narrative categories, solidifying its place as a top contender.

Not to be overshadowed, Alan Wake 2 made its mark by clinching awards for Artistic Achievement and Audio Achievement, showcasing its expertly crafted eerie ambiance.

Special Recognition

One of the highlights of the event was honoring gaming charity SpecialEffect with the prestigious BAFTA Special Award for their exceptional efforts in enabling individuals with disabilities to enjoy video games.

Among the night's victors were Hi-Fi Rush for Animation, Viewfinder for British Game and New Intellectual Property, and Cyberpunk 2077 for Evolving Game, marking a significant turnaround from its tumultuous launch.

Other notable awardees included Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Venba, Dave the Diver, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for various categories.

Players’ Choice Award

The only category determined by public vote, the Players’ Choice award sponsored by EE, was clinched by Baldur’s Gate 3, further solidifying its popularity among gamers.

Players had the opportunity to cast their votes for their favorite game from a selection of nominees that included Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Lethal Company, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
