CANDY Crush Saga is kicking off its upcoming Music Season with a bang, and letting players listen to a brand-new album before anyone else can.

Exclusive tracks from Jonas Brothers’ The Album will appear in Candy Crush Saga on Android and iOS from today, 24 hours before the album is available anywhere else.

Candy Crush Saga is a popular math-three game on mobile platforms

The game will feature Summer Baby and Sail Away, as well as a special Candy Crush remix of Waffle House that can’t be heard anywhere else.

The songs were previously unreleased, and video content of the Jonas Brothers performing the songs at the Royal Albert Hall gig recently is also available to view.

In addition to the music content, “Candified” versions of the Jonas Brothers will appear in the game too, appearing in the Music Tour Bus.

You’ll be able to work with the band to take on challenges and events to collect guitar candies and win in-game rewards.

Jonas Brothers said of the collaboration: “We’re suckers for a game of Candy Crush Saga, having spent years playing during downtime on set, and competing against each other while on the road.

“We cannot wait to invite fans into our favourite game to listen to our new music before it can be heard anywhere else.”

A number of games have had music collaborations in recent years, with increasingly larger artists stepping into the games space to promote new albums and tours.

Artists such as Ariana Grande, The Kid Laroi, and Marshmello have all held virtual concerts in Fortnite, while others have held concerts in Minecraft, Roblox, and even Adventure Quest 3D.

It’s thought that such virtual performances are a good way to reach youth markets, which often do not listen to radio.

This is the first time Candy Crush Saga has been used to promote a major band however, and more promotions of this sort could potentially happen in the future.
