TIMOTHEE Chamalet is the star of the new Dune film, but it recently came to light that he actually started out on YouTube.
With 15k subs and just three videos, ModdedController360 is an 11-year old YouTube channel belonging to the actor.
Motherboard teamed up with Aric Toler, a security expert who investigates war crimes, to analyse the videos.
And after poring over the available evidence, it was concluded that it is, in all probability, a young Timothee Chamalet.
Any shred of doubt was helpfully cleared up by Chalamet himself; days prior to publication in fact.
During an interview alongside Zendaya on their Dune press tour, the pair are quizzed on their gaming experience by Faze Clan’s Nate Hill.
“I had a YouTube channel people found,” admits a bashful Chalamet, before plugging the channel’s entire URL, boomer-style.
“I used to paint…controllers – I did three,” he says, before adding that he charged just $10 for customisations that took him five hours per piece.
His parents put a stop to it, saying there was “spray paint all over the house” but the videos are live on over on YouTube if you want to see his handiwork.

Chalamet produced a red and green Christmas-themed controller, a blue and silver controller, and a ‘red tiger’ controller.
Comments are turned off for all three, with the highest view count sitting at 98k for the red tiger colourway.
So it’s difficult to tell if his fans have flocked to the channel since this info came to light.
With Dune part 2 confirmed by the actor on his Twitter account, I doubt he’ll need to revive his controller modding career anytime soon.
