Nintendo has surprised fans with a series of exciting announcements, leaving players eager for what's to come.

Discover the Hidden Treasures of Area Zero in upcoming DLC

Last weekend, at the highly anticipated Pokémon World Championships, fans were treated to a flurry of announcements that set social media ablaze.

One announcement in particular left fans ecstatic: the upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, titled "The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero," will reintroduce every starter Pokémon from previous games.

A total of 24 Pokémon, including Fire-, Water-, and Grass-types, will be available for players to catch. While a few starters have already appeared in limited-time seven-star raids, this DLC will give fans a chance to catch any Pokémon they may have missed.

But that's not all. Smeargle, a Pokémon with the extraordinary ability to learn any move in the game, will also make an appearance in the DLC, adding a new element of excitement for players.

Exciting additions coming soon to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Aside from the much-anticipated DLC, there were other exciting announcements for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Players can look forward to a range of new moves, including the formidable Thunderclap, an Electric-type attack with high priority. Another move, Upper Hand, will take priority over other priority moves, giving players the upper hand in battles. And the introduction of Psychic Noise, a move that prevents healing, is sure to shake up strategies.

Additionally, two new Paradox Pokémon were revealed: Surging Bolt and Iron Crown.

Surging Bolt, the ancient form of Raikou, will be a fearsome Dragon-/Electric-type. This has sparked speculation that an ancient form of Entei with the Fire-/Dragon-type may be on the horizon.

Iron Crown, on the other hand, is the future form of Cobalion and a powerful Steel-/Psychic-type. Players are now eagerly anticipating the appearance of a future form of Terrakion, potentially a Rock-/Psychic-type.

A new type on the horizon

As if the other announcements weren't enough, Nintendo dropped one final bombshell: the introduction of a new 19th type known as Tera. Little is known about this mysterious new type, leaving fans to speculate on its potential impact on the Pokémon universe.

With all of these exciting announcements, anticipation for the future of the Pokémon series is at an all-time high. Fans can't wait to dive into the DLC and explore the new features and Pokémon that await them in Scarlet and Violet.
