PlayStation has just revealed three new games that will be available for free to PS5 users. While many fans are excited about these offerings, there is still some disappointment among players.

PlayStation Plus Essential Games for November

Starting from Tuesday, November 7, 2023, PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to three new games. These games will be available to play until Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

All three games will be included in the PlayStation Plus service, even for subscribers on the cheapest tier known as PlayStation Plus Essential.

While these games are free, some players have expressed doubts about the quality of the service based on the games offered.

The Highlight: Mafia 2: Definitive Edition

The standout game for this month is Mafia 2: Definitive Edition, which boasts a respectable 72 rating on Metacritic. Mafia 2 is considered the best game in the Mafia series that gained popularity in the early 2000s.

Unfortunately, Mafia 2 did not receive the same remake treatment as the original game. It is simply a port of the game for modern consoles, making the action-adventure gameplay feel a bit dated by today's standards.

Aliens Fireteam Elite: A Lackluster Experience

Next on the list is Aliens Fireteam Elite, a third-person survival game that takes inspiration from the Alien franchise. However, the game has been generally viewed as lackluster, with a weighted average critics rating of 69.

Dragonball the Breakers: A Critical Disappointment

Lastly, we have Dragonball the Breakers, an online fighting game set in the Dragonball universe. Unfortunately, this game received a low rating of just 53 on Metacritic and has struggled to find online partners to play with.

With its release on PS Plus, there may be an increase in online players, making it easier to find opponents.

If you're looking for more free games, be sure to check out November's Xbox Game Pass offerings and the new games available on Nintendo Switch Online.
