Disastrous Collaboration Ends in Chaos

Pokémon, the world's biggest franchise, partnered with the Van Gogh Museum last year to add new merchandise to the gift store. However, chaos ensued when fans rushed the store to buy limited edition items.

Pushing and Crushing for Pikachu

Videos emerged online showing customers pushing and crushing each other in their desperation to get their hands on rare Pikachu merchandise and Pokémon-themed Van Gogh art pieces.

Suspended Employees

In addition to unruly customers, it has been revealed that four museum employees were suspended due to their behavior during the collaboration. These employees will not be returning to the museum.

25-Year Employee Removed for Misconduct

One of the employees, who had been with the museum for over 25 years, was removed from their position due to misconduct. The exact reasons for the suspensions included alerting people to the timing of event ticket availability and an attempt to embezzle limited edition Pokémon cards.
