Increased Shiny Rates and Sustainability Week
Pokémon Go enthusiasts are gearing up for an exciting update as the popular app introduces Sustainability Week. Along with new avatar designs, players can look forward to increased shiny rates starting from Monday, April 22, 2024, until Friday, April 26, 2024.
Encouraging Outdoor Activity
As Pokémon Go encourages players to get outdoors, Sustainability Week aims to promote environmental awareness. During this week, players will receive more rewards for every walk they take outside. Walking with your buddy will also yield additional bonuses, making it a fun way to level up and purify your Pokémon.
Exciting Bonuses and Events
Throughout Sustainability Week, players can expect increased chances of receiving souvenirs and presents, extended time with their buddy after feeding them, and reduced distances needed to earn hearts with their buddy. Additionally, eggs that hatch within 2km will have a higher likelihood of being shiny, featuring popular Pokémon like Combee, Drilbur, Trubbish, Foongus, and Binnacle.
New Field Research Tasks
Players can also look forward to new Field Research Tasks that offer encounters with the aforementioned Pokémon at an increased shiny chance. While other events like Collection Challenges and Pokéstop Showcases have been teased by Pokémon Go, specific details are yet to be fully unveiled.
