New game will arrive in 2025

GTA fans are gutted after Rockstar left out one popular game platform from its release details. The gaming giant revealed the first official trailer on Monday, confirming the highly-anticipated title will arrive sometime in 2025.

PC players left in the dark

But gamers have noticed the accompanying press release only mentions PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. This leaves PC players in the dark about when – and indeed if – GTA 6 will land on their preferred machine.

Disappointed reactions

"Well that sucks, PC was the best by far for GTA V," one disappointed user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. "This can't be true," another cried. A third commented: "That's unfair, just port it." Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Finally, a good reason to buy PS5."

Hope for PC users

However, others have assured PC users that a launch will probably come later. GTA 5 was released more than a year and a half after PlayStation 3 Xbox 360 back in 2015. Some say the delay is because of "modders" who tamper with games.

Waiting game for PC gamers

"So when will the PC release for it be in 2030?" one gamer joked. "Expected this. Watch PC comes out 2027 lol," another wrote. So PC gamers will either not get GTA 6 or will have to wait even longer.

Introducing Lucia

The first GTA 6 trailer takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, with its first female lead called Lucia.
